Comet Chat 1.3

A new version of Comet Chat is out with several new enhancements to improve usability and functionality.

Well I got some new features in Comet Chat 1.3. They are as follows:

Color Themes

This is packed with 16 different color themes.  Here are a few:

H4X0RZ
Commodore 64
Amber
Group Zork
Mean Green
Ocean

 Cleaner GUI / Menus

Optimization / Speed improvements

A few optimizations that should result in a faster, smoother experience.

Nickname support

Have a little fun and change your nickname whenever you want. Just type /NICK NEWNAME, where you would normally type a message.

Private messaging

Send PMs to people in the same room.  Just type @ and a menu will pop up asking who you would like to PM.

Download

You can download Comet Chat on the public disk V-1541 from CommodoreServer.com

You don't need to download this if you own a Comet64 - just start your V-1541 softare and type:

LOAD"COMETCHAT",2
RUN

Suggestions

I hope you like the new features! If you have any suggestions or like what you see, feel free to drop me a note here or let me know in chat.

Just gave this a go using VICE on my Linux PC (using WINE, as I can't seem to figure out how to get RS232 settings done in the Linux version of VICE). Had a brief chat with AF and everything worked really well. Good job! Now got to power up the C64 and try it on the "real thing"!
